Carey Consulting specialises in chemical safety audits that are designed to meet the needs of schools. We will conduct a comprehensive inspection of your chemical storage areas and on completion provide a digital report flagging any areas of concern.
The storage considerations for schools must meet the minimum requirements set out by Worksafe WA, our team have the expertise to provide the advice and support to assist schools to prevent improvement notices being issued should WorkSafe WA visit.
Compliance
We are able to provide practical advice and support using information from the Department of Mines Industry and Recourses Safety (DMIRS) Division Recourses Safety and Worksafe WA, Department of Health, Attorney General’s Office and the Chemical Diversion Desk WA Police, along with reference to current applicable standards.
Chemical waste disposal
Chemical disposal can be costly and time consuming, Carey consulting can offer a complete service, including identifying chemicals that are no longer suitable to be used in schools, provide information on how to segregate these chemicals for packaging, create a manifest the chemicals and arrange for their collection by a licensed contractor.
Hazardous Substance Training
Legislation prescribes that hazardous chemicals must be managed to ensure as far as reasonably practicable that the health and safety of workers and others persons are not put at risk.
